A Marion County man has been arrested after a homeowner observed him enter her home through her security system.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a homeowner on June 28 of a breaking and entering in progress. She told authorities she was out of town but her security cameras had alerted her an unwanted person had made entry into her home.
Upon arrival, deputies observed a male, identified as 47-year-old Daymon Doshier, walking out onto the lower back deck from inside the home. Doshier was taken into custody without incident. He told authorities he had rat poison in his pocket and deputies located a white powder crystal-like substance. Field testing showed the substance testing positive for methamphetamine.
Doshier faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and attempted residential burglary. He is currently being held in the Marion County Detention Center.
