On Sunday, First United Methodist Church (FUMC) in Mountain Home will host guest preacher Bishop Laura Merrill. Bishop Merrill was part of a historic election within the denomination as she was the second woman to be elected along with the first African American female and the first Native American.

FUMC Pastor Daniel Thueson and Food Bank of North Central Arkansas CEO and parishioner Jeff Quick recently were guests on Talk of the Town with Sammy Raycraft to discuss the visit as well as the work of the Methodists in education and meeting the needs of the vulnerable in our community.
