This is a class for people who struggle in parenting and hope to find a better way to discipline. It’s for parents who hope to find support and answers when facing parenting challenges. It’s for people who want to have a better relationship with their kids.
Positive parenting is using Positive discipline at home It’s based on the work of the famous phycologists Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs and designed to teach children to become responsible respectful and resourceful member of their communities. It teaches important social and life skills in a manner that is deeply respectful and encouraging for both children and adults.
This 3 week long course will meet 2 hours every week.
In this class, you will learn disciples that meet these five criteria
Is KIND AND FIRM at the same time. (Respectful and encouraging)
Helps children feel a sense of BELONGING and SIGNIFICANCE (Connection)
Is EFFECTIVE LONG TERM (Punishment works short term, but has negative long term results.)
Teaches valuable SOCIAL AND LIFE Skills for good character (Respect, concern for others, problem solving, accountability, contribution, cooperation)
Invites children to discover how CAPABLE they are and to use their personal power tin constructive ways.
