A Jordan man is accused of going to a Norfork home and pointing a gun in the resident’s face. Fifty-one-year-old Brandon Hall was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center early Sunday morning as he faces charges of aggravated assault, aggravated assault on a family or household member and criminal trespass.

According to an incident report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded late Saturday night to a report of a male attempting to make entry into a residence on Second Street. The victim met with the deputy and stated a male, identified as Hall, had knocked on the door. When the victim answered, Hall allegedly pointed the pistol in his face. The victim states he attempted to close the door, but Hall pushed to force his way in.

A female reportedly with Hall during the incident stated she pushed her way through the door in an attempt to convince Hall to leave. She also claimed she was not able to leave in her vehicle because Hall wouldn’t let her. The female reportedly was able to get Hall away, put her vehicle in reverse and back away. Hall then reportedly left as well.

As a pair of deputies were getting the victim’s statement, a pickup truck matching the description of the one Hall was driving pulled down the road. As the truck moved closer, one deputy claims he could see a male matching the description given by the victim. The deputies took Hall into custody and reportedly located a pistol holstered to his hip.

Hall is currently free after posting a bond of $15,000.
