Sunday night storms result in several power outages

Sunday night’s thunderstorm activity resulted in several power outages. As of 11:50 Monday morning, Entergy Arkansas reported power was out to 1,378 customers in Marion County, 41 in Searcy County, one in Stone County and 431 in Boone County. North Arkansas Electric Cooperative had six members in Baxter County. White River Valley Electric Cooperative had outages for 4,002 members in Taney County and two in Douglas County.

There have been just a few reports of damage from the storms. A Boone County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson says some trees were down on roads throughout the county. The Twitter account BransonWX was sent a picture of a tree on top of a vehicle near the Welk Resort in Branson. No one was hurt in the incident.

At KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting station for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home, a total of .84 of an inch of rain was recorded from Sunday night’s storms.
