Registration is now open for a seven-part lecture series on the 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt.
Former adjunct professor at the University of Mississippi School of Law, Jim Carroll, J.D. will present seven lectures on the dynamics of the life of Roosevelt.
Participants will explore the American experience of Roosevelt’s early childhood overcoming the odds of being sickly & weak to a robust Rough Rider charging up San Juan Hill. They will also learn of his philanthropy, philosophy, religion, and climb to power from NYC Police Commissioner, New York Governor, and ultimately the 26th President of the United States as well as his foreign policy to build the Panama Canal and earning the 1906 Nobel Peace Prize.

A $100 donation to benefit the Baxter County Library Foundation is requested for the seven-week series and limited scholarships are available. Donations are payable at the Circulation Desk at the Library before Oct. 3 or at the first lecture.
