A Stone County man has been arrested after allegedly attacking his friend and friend’s wife after his friend used his tobacco. Arrested last week for the incident which happened in late September was 45-year-old William Blair Brewer of Mountain View.

According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, the victims say Brewer was staying with them because he is homeless due to an ongoing divorce process.

On the night of the incident, it’s alleged Brewer came home and couldn’t find his tobacco. The male victim told Brewer he had smoked it and offered to replace it, at which time Brewer attacked him. When the victim’s wife tried to intervene, it’s alleged Brewer backhanded her.

The male victim suffered three broken ribs and had to be treated at the Stone County Medical Center.

Brewer is facing felony charges of battery and assault. His bond is set at $10,000.
