Ozark County man arrested after fleeing accident scene that injured Flippin woman

An Ozark County man was arrested a short time after he fled the scene of an accident that injured a woman from Flippin. Thirty-nine-year-old Brandon Guidry of Thornfield is facing at least two charges as the investigation continues.Ozark County Sheriff Cass Martin says the accident happened Oct. 21 in Thornfield. When first responders arrived, the observed Guidry fleeing the scene before law enforcement got there. Deputies found a firearm and suspected methamphetamine in the truck, but Guidry could not be located.

Guidry was found a few hours later when he requested medical assistance for injuries sustained in the crash. He was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was booked and then released to EMS personnel to be transported to the hospital for treatment.

Injured in the crash was 40-year-old Jennifer Wilson. She was taken to Baxter Health for treatment of what were termed minor injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report, the crash happened on Missouri State Highway 95 when Guidry’s vehicle left the left side of the roadway. Guidry overcorrected, then overcorrected a second time, causing the vehicle to leave the left side of the roadway and overturn.
