Next week, the Alley-White American Legion Auxiliary Unit 52 will be holding its 3rd Annual Christmas Shop for Veterans. December 13 through 16 from 10 until two each day, veterans along with their immediate families can shop for Christmas gifts, free of charge.
Donations of gift items will be accepted. Suggested items include toys/games for infants thru teens; craft kits; small electronics with batteries, if possible; jewelry; scarf, hat and glove sets; Christmas decor; kitchen items; small appliances; wall art; fancy bath sets for women; fishing gear; sports items; outdoor things; and tools for the men. Other items such as slippers, winter hats, gloves, mittens for all ages; food gift boxes; throws, lap robes and afghans, whether handmade or purchased, will be accepted.
Suzan Kaye, Chairman of the Christmas Shop for Veterans says “Anything you might give to one of your family members would probably make the perfect gift for one of ours.”
