A West Plains man awaiting trial for a number of charges, including two counts of murder, has been reported missing. The Howell County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance in the search of 41-year-old Levi Daniel Gunter.
Investigators say Gunter was one of three arrested in May 2020 for the deaths of Frankie L. Ziegler and Richard L. Kuntz. Investigators reportedly found Ziegler and Kuntz shot to death inside a vehicle.
In addition to the murder charges, Gunter is facing two counts of armed criminal action and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He posted bond in August after it was reduced to $100,000.
Gunter is described as a 5-foot-11 white male weighing 165 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen Dec. 2 at his residence.
Anyone with information on Gunter’s whereabouts should contact the Howell County Sheriff’s Office at 417-256-2544 or investigations@howellcountysheriff.gov.
