The Arkansas State Police’s largest ever graduating class includes three recruits to serve as troopers for part of the Twin Lakes Area. Jared Curtis, Cody Lee and Erick Riggs were among 52 honored during the graduation ceremony Thursday at Camp Robinson in North Little Rock.

Curtis and Lee will be assigned to Troop I of the Highway Patrol Division, and Riggs will be in Company E of the Criminal Investigation Division. Both are headquartered on U.S. Highway 65 southeast of Bellefonte.

The new troopers were among an initial field of 230 applicants tested and interviewed before entering a 10-week training program. They later completed approximately 760 hours of specialized instruction and practical training.

Curtis, Lee and Riggs were sworn under oath as state troopers by Arkansas Supreme Court Justice Cody Hiland, who served as the keynote speaker.
