The 2023 Coulter Celebration of Lights held on the campus of Arkansas State University Mountain Home (ASUMH) saw a record turnout and it’s highest amount of donations gathered since the festival began three years ago.
Mollie Morgan, Director of Development at ASUMH, says unlike last year’s event which was plagued with frigid weather this year’s milder weather increased turnout.
2022 saw 5842 vehicles drive through the lights but this last year saw a significant increase.
Morgan reported a record high in donations which she explains goes to further support the festival and student scholarships.
Morgan says discussions are already in the works for the 2024 festival with new local businesses and organizations already getting involved to continue to grow this now local holiday tradition.
