A 35-year-old woman has been arrested after physically and verbally abusing a 12-year-old girl who was able to away from her, and then broke into the house trying to get to her again. Facing multiple charges from the incident is Samantha Lee Wilson.
According to the incident report from the Gassville Police Department, an officer responded late Tuesday night to the residence to find the front door had been kicked in and Wilson, the victim and the victim’s father in a bathroom.
The father was telling Wilson she was not going to yell at his daughter or pull her hair and she needed to leave, but Wilson was refusing.
The officer noted in his report he had responded to the residence the day before and trespassed Wilson and advised her if she came back, she would go to jail. The father had asked her to leave the prior day, but she refused.
The father told the officer he did allow Wilson to return to the house if she would stay sober, but she had been drinking. During the visit to the house she became verbally abusive to his daughter and then began pulling her hair.
The girl went outside to get away and Wilson followed her. The victim said Wilson went to a neighbor’s yard to urinate and while she was occupied, she was able to run back into the house and lock the door.
When Wilson started knocking and no one would answer, she allegedly kicked the door open.
Wilson is facing felony charges of battery in the second degree and residential burglary along with misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. She is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on bonds totaling $7,500.
