Two Pontiac residents were transported by ambulance to Baxter Health following a one-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Ozark County. Thirty-two-year-old Katherine Pine was seriously injured, and an unidentified six-year-old female suffered moderate injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Pine was the driver of a pickup truck on Missouri Route W, and the child was her passenger. They were nearly three miles east of Pontiac when the truck traveled off the roadway, overturned and struck an embankment.
The truck was totaled in the 3:50 p.m. accident.
