Average gasoline prices in Arkansas have risen 4.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.65 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,826 stations in Arkansas. Prices in Arkansas are 1 cent per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 48.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 0.5 cents in the last week and stands at $3.87 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Arkansas was priced at $2.39 per gallon in Jasper while the most expensive was $3.25 per gallon, a difference of 86.0 cents per gallon.
In Baxter County, prices range from $2.63 to $2.89 per gallon.
The national average price of gasoline has risen 4.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.07 per gallon. The national average is down 4.1 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 41.2 cents per gallon lower than one year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, says “We’ve seen the national average price of gasoline bounce back up after cold weather related refinery shutdowns pushed up the wholesale price of gasoline. Plus, recent GDP data and new attacks in the Red Sea have pushed oil prices to their highest level since November.”
