A Jonesboro woman faces more than 50 charges of animal cruelty after police say they found a suspected puppy mill in her home.
62-year-old Karen Sue Siegel was arrested after police conducted a search warrant at her residence seizing 51 dogs, 49 of which were alive while two were dead. Surviving dogs were taken to local animal services. Siegel was charged with 50 misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals.
Siegel’s bond is set for $50,000 with the stipulation she not possess any animals while waiting for the outcome of her charges.
