Boil Water Order for Flippin lifted

A temporary boil order issued Tuesday for the City of Flippin has been lifted.

According to Mayor Heith Hogan, the main break which occurred Monday event has been repaired.

A temporary boil order has been issued for water users in the city of Flippin. According to Mayor Heith Hogan, a major main break occurred in the city Monday evening with crews repairing the break by early Tuesday morning. The order will be in effect as a precaution until further notice.

Tuesday morning Mayor Hogan spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News with an update on progress made and areas affected.

Areas affected include the following areas in the city- Cemetery Road, Willow Lane, High Mountain Lane, Hillcrest Street (east of orchard), and all areas between Micro Plastics and Ranger Boats Plant 1.

All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for ice making.
