High school basketball makes up the local Thursday schedule as district tournament play continues.
The second night of the 2A-1 District Tournament will be held at Cotter. On the girls’ side, Ozark Mountain and Eureka Springs tip off at 4, and Greenland faces Life Way Christian at 7. On the boys’ bracket, Cotter takes on Life Way Christian at 5:30, and Ozark Mountain plays Haas Hall-Bentonville at 8:30.
The semifinals of the 1A-2 District Tournament will be played at West Side High School in Greers Ferry. The girls’ game between Norfork and Viola tips off at 4, Rural Special will be paired with Concord for a doubleheader starting with the boys at 5:15, and Viola’s boys face West Side at 7:45.
Izard County High School in Brockwell will be the site for the semifinals of the 2A-2 District Tournament. In girls’ action, the host Lady Cougars take on Mount Vernon-Enola at 4, and Marshall plays Quitman at 6:40. The Izard County boys will be matched up with Marshall at 5:20.
Both of Mammoth Spring’s teams will be at Crowley’s Ridge Academy in Paragould for the semifinals of the 1A-3 District Tournament. The Lady Bears face Maynard at 4, and the Mammoth Spring boys take on Ridgefield Christian at 7:45.
The semifinals of the 1A-1 East District Tournament will be held at Jasper. The host Lady Pirates and Alpena tip off at 4, Omaha plays Kingston for a doubleheader starting with the boys at 5:30, and Lead Hill’s boys go up against Jasper at 8:30.
Elsewhere, Bakersfield travels to Koshkonong, the Gainesville girls make the trip to Conway, Gainesville’s boys head to Chadwick, and the Dora boys travel to Houston.
