To celebrate World Turtle Day we will have a guest from the Fred Berry Crooked Creek Nature Center visit us so we can learn more about turtles. Do you know which turtles are native to our area? What do they eat? Do we have land turtles as well as aquatic turtles? How can you tell the difference.
If you have time after learning about turtles we will go over to the ASUMH walking trail and saunter (walk at a gentle pace frequently stopping to more closely observe the nature we find) along the creek to see if it is good turtle habitat.
This celebration of turtles will be for all ages so bring your curiosity and sense of adventure and join us.
