A Harrison man has been arrested in connection to a domestic disturbance in Searcy County involving a man who had been beaten unconscious.
According to the Searcy County Sheriff’s Office, on Feb. 26 deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance along Chinquapin Road just outside of Pindall in the Everton community. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with two individuals. According to statements taken from others on the premise the couple were guests and had been asked to leave by the homeowner prior to the 26th.
On Feb. 26, 31-year-old Randall Morrison and his companion arrived back at the residence. While Morrison and the homeowner spoke, Morrison became angry and allegedly started attacking the homeowner.
The victim stated Morrison threw him to the ground and began choking him to the point where he could not breathe. It was reported Morrison allegedly began striking the homeowner in the face to the point he lost consciousness. A nearby witness stated when they rendered first aid to the victim, Morrison’s companion allegedly threatened bodily harm to them. The homeowner was transported to a local medical facility by a personal vehicle for treatment.
Morrison was booked and is currently being held in the Searcy County Detention Center and faces charges of aggravated assault. Authorities state additional charges are possible. Morrison is currently awaiting an appearance in the Searcy County Circuit Court.
