A Gassville woman arrested twice in 2023 and once this year on drug-related charges pled guilty during a session of Baxter County circuit Court Monday.

Forty-seven-year-old Heather O’Neill was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Her latest arrest came in February when she was found in possession of methamphetamine while an inmate in the Baxter County Detention Center.

She was arrested in August last year when drug paraphernalia was found during a compliance check done at a residence along Bayless Court in Gassville.

DRUG SALE

She was arrested in May when she is alleged to have sold slightly more than 15 grams of methamphetamine to a person working with law enforcement.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the confidential informant was given $250 in “drug buy” money and fitted with electronic monitoring equipment.

When he was sentencing O’Neill, Circuit Judge John Putman said, “this drug thing is just not working out for you and you need to get away from it.”
