A Gassville man pled guilty to drug-related charges against him and was sentenced to nine years in prison during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Monday.

Thirty-five-year-old Michael Farrell Elliott was charged with possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia used to ingest the drug.

His plea covered two Baxter County cases and one case in Marion County.

Officers went to the camper in which Elliott and his 31-year-old wife, Neoskaleta, lived in rural Gassville to conduct a compliance visit in late January last year.

At the time Michael Elliott was on parole and his wife was on probation. Both had signed waivers permitting warrantless searches of their person and property.

The officers reported finding almost 12 grams of methamphetamine and various items of paraphernalia used to ingest the drug.

Neoskaleta Elliott was also charged but electronic court records show her cases closed.

Both Michael and Neoskaleta Elliott have been charged in Baxter, Marion and Searcy Counties. His cases stem mainly from drug-related offenses, while hers lean toward property crimes.

In 2019, the couple fled Searcy County and were gone for about two months. A contempt-of-court order had been signed after Michael Elliott failed to report to the Searcy County jail to be transferred to one of the Community Correction Centers in the state.

They have a combined total of about 14 criminal cases that have been opened on them through the years.
