The Desha County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation after a dead man was found in a field just outside the Dumas city limits off U.S. Highway 165.Authorities said employees from an irrigation company found the body Tuesday afternoon. The body was decomposed so investigators will begin by identifying any missing persons who have previously been reported in the region.
The body was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and identification.
