The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting in Hempstead County. This comes after officers went to a home on Thursday to serve a felony arrest warrant for 65-year-old Randy May. Witnesses said May charged at the deputies with a machete. Police said a deputy shot and killed May in response. The Hempstead County Prosecuting Attorney will determine if the use of deadly force by the deputy was consistent with state law.
