A Fulton County man is accused of threatening another male who informed him his shed was on fire. Sixty-five-year-old Russell Schuh is facing felony counts of aggravated assault and first-degree terroristic threatening.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Fulton County deputies were dispatched to a residence on Little Gut Creek. A male told deputies he informed Schuh his shed was on fire. He alleges Schuh came to his residence, pointed a firearm at the victim and said he was going to “blow his head off.” Schuh then returned to his home.
The Hardy Fire Department arrived on the scene and extinguished the blaze. Schuh allegedly made several statements in the presence of Hardy Fire Chief Josh Moore saying he suspected the victim of starting the fire, and he intended to shoot the male.
Schuh was released from the Fulton County Jail after posting a bond of $10,000. On Wednesday, his public defender, Shannon Briese of Heber Springs, filed a motion to suppress evidence in the case. Schuh has entered a not guilty plea, and he has a jury trial currently set to begin Oct. 23.
Schuh is currently in the Sharp County Jail at Ash Flat for violating his probation.
