Mountain Home spring clean up set to begin Monday

The annual spring clean up inside the Mountain Home city limits will be held the week of May 6 through 10.The spring clean-up, put on by Methvin Sanitation and Waste Connections, is for large items only, and only those within the city limits of Mountain Home may participate.

Items need to be placed curbside by 6 a.m. the morning of regular trash pick-up days beginning Monday.

Accepted items include:

Furniture; Mattress & Box Springs; freon-free appliances; toys; bicycles without tires; push/self-propelled lawn mowers without oil or gas; tools; bagged clothes; metals less than 4ft in length and under 50lbs; carpet less than 4ft in length, rolled up and tied; fencing less than 4ft in length; and lumber less than 4ft in length.

Items not accepted include:

Electronics; yard waste; tires; paint; vehicle batteries; and construction debris.
