The Mountain Home Symphony Orchestra will be hosting their spring concert this Sunday at The Sheid on the campus of Arkansas State University Mountain Home (ASUMH) starting at 2:30. The concert is themed ‘Sounds from the Silver Screen’ and concert goers will hear popular pieces from Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean. The newly formed Mountain Home Singers will join the symphony performing numbers from The Wizard of Oz and the Sound of Music.
Alyssa Gordan, President of the Symphony and viola player as well as Dave Fornes, former president and current trumpet player where recent guests on KTLO’s Talk of the Town and they say the orchestra has been busy getting ready to present these pieces on the 26th.

General admission is $10 but children under the age of 12 can listen for free. Fornes says sharing live music with young people is important for him and the symphony.
