Cooking accident leads to fire at Mountain Home residence

A cooking accident led to a fire damaging a residence in midtown Mountain Home early Saturday morning. No injuries were reported from the blaze at 821 Langston Street.

According to the Mountain Home Fire Department, the alarm came in just after 2 to the residence owned by Steve Hogan. The fire started in the kitchen and resulted in 10% fire damage and 10% smoke damage to the residence.

Fourteen personnel were on the scene for nearly an hour-and-a-half with two engine companies, a ladder company, a rescue unit and a support vehicle.
