Marion County officials is asking the public to avoid traveling roadways where county and electric crews are working to clear debris and restore power.
County Judge Jason Stumph says motorist should avoid traveling U.S. Highway 62 West near Snow and Arkansas 410 at this time so crews can continue to work on clearing the area.
Marion County Office of Emergency Management Director Melissa Penn says showers will be available Tuesday noon until 4 at Yellville-Summit Public Schools at the Panther Pavilion locker rooms. Residents should bring their own supplies.
The American Red Cross is still set up at the Marion County Fairgrounds as a respite center for people to charge mobile devices and cool down from the heat. The center will be open until from 8 until 6.
Officials are still in discussion on when debris cleanup will take place as getting the main roads clear are first priority for the county.
