The devastation from an oil spill in Mayflower 11 years ago is one step closer to being resolved with a settlement proposed between Arkansas agencies and the ExxonMobil Pipeline Company.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission gave a preview of how some of that money may be spent. Officials say $1.8 million would be spent to restore the wildlife to the natural state. Commission officials say most of the money would go toward buying 40 acres of land of forest habitat comparable to that impacted by the spill.
