The Baxter County Master Gardeners are accepting applications for their scholarship until July 31.
The scholarship is a one-time award of $1,000 awarded annually to a full-time student pursuing a college degree in any field. The student must be a Baxter County resident, but the educational facility may be out of the county. The scholarship will be awarded by August 31.
To be eligible, the student must be a Baxter County high school senior, either conventional or home-schooled, or a full-time undergraduate student in a college or university system and have a minimum of a 2.75 GPA from high school or a 2.5 GPA from college.
Applications should include a copy of a high school transcript, ACT or college transcript to date, a 300-word essay describing goals and career plans and letters of recommendation.
