Officials with the Buffalo National River will be seeking input from the public near the end of this month. Ideas will be considered to make the park more accessible for visitors with disabilities.
According to a Facebook post, park officials have evaluated many facilities, river access points, campgrounds and visitor services for improved accessibility. The goal is to remove barriers limiting access to key visitor experiences.
The public will have a chance to review a draft of the park’s self-evaluation and transition plan starting June 28. The comment period will be open for 30 days. Buffalo River officials plan to provide more details at a later time.
