The traffic light in downtown Mountain Home is one step closer to being operational.
According to a press release from the Mayor’s Office, the traffic light on 6th Street and U.S. Highway 62 on the square is currently in test mode with flashing lights.
Beginning Monday, the stop signs will be removed and the lights will be flashing yellow on U.S. Hwy. 62 and flashing red on 6th Street. Officials state this will continue until June 27th when the lights will be fully functional.
Motorists are asked to proceed with caution when traveling the area during the testing period.
