A Fulton County man was arrested following a report of trespassing. Fifty-six-year-old Charles Blosl is facing charges of criminal trespass, public intoxication and theft of property.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on June 22, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence along Byron Road for a report of a man asking to be let inside the home. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a woman who claimed a white male drove through her yard on a UTV and parked behind her house. The victim said the man, later identified as Blosl, took off running to her in-laws’ house next door and was on their porch.
When deputies asked Blosl what he was doing there, he stated he was looking for one of his friends. Deputies observed Blosl to have slurred speech and the odor of intoxicants. When asked about the UTV, Blosl said he got it from a man on Greasy Creek Rd.
During the investigation, deputies contacted several people in the area to identify the owner of the UTV. After several hours, the owner was identified. He stated he had a video of the UTV leaving his property at around 10 in the morning, and no one had permission to take it. A towing company was called to return the vehicle to the owner.
On June 23, during an interview with Blosl, he claimed someone was chasing him, and he was scared for his life. He claimed he went to the owner of the UTV’s property to attempt to use a phone, but no one was home. Blosl said he took the vehicle to try to get away. Staff at the Fulton County Jail stated Blosl tested positive for methamphetamine upon being booked.
Blosl was booked into Fulton County Jail on a felony count of theft of property, one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass with possession of a prohibited device or tool and one misdemeanor count of public intoxication. He is currently being held on a $15,000 bond.
