Baxter Health recently welcomed board-certified vascular surgeon Nestor Arita, MD, to the medical staff. He will be joining the Baxter Health and Vascular Clinic on August 1.Dr. Arita previously practiced in Jackson, Tennessee, for three years before moving to Mountain Home. He completed a vascular and endovascular fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, gaining expertise in various vascular conditions such as aortic aneurysms, carotid stenosis, peripheral arterial disease and more. Dr. Arita specializes in both open and endovascular treatment methods. In addition to practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their two children.
Born in Honduras and Raised in Miami, Dr. Arita holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami and attended Baylor College of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at Baylors Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery. He is excited to serve his patients at the Baxter Health Heart and Vascular Clinic and looks forward to relocating to Mountain Home with his family.
