Hospice of the Ozarks is holding its annual contest to benefit the program supporting the bond between hospice patients and their pets. There is still time to enter a photo submission for the Pet Peace of Mind Calendar Contest.
Hospice of the Ozarks Outreach and Development Coordinator Marta Bistey will be a guest on an upcoming episode of the Talk of the Town on KTLO-FM, and she says submissions can include anything anyone calls a pet.
Listen:
Bistey goes on to say Pet Peace of Mind is a national program the staff at Hospice of the Ozarks has been proud to be associated with for more than 10 years.
Listen:
The cost to enter a pet is $5. Entries will be accepted through midnight Wednesday by going to hospiceoftheozarks.org/pet-calendar or sending an email to mbistey@baxterregional.org. Photos will not be accepted via a text message.
When the voting process begins, the cost is $1 per vote, and there is no limit to the number of times one individual can vote. Bistey says voting will officially begin in mid-August.
Listen:
The winner of the Pet Peace of Mind Calendar Contest will be the cover photo for the upcoming 2025 calendar and receive two free calendars. Those finishing in second through 12th place will have pet photo as a feature pet of the month, a choice of month according to rank and a free pet calendar. The pet with the most “likes” on Facebook will receive a month in the calendar. If the Facebook winner finishes in the top 12, the final month will go to the pet in 13th place.
Calendars are expected to be available in October. The cost for the 2025 calendar will be $10.
