Wisconsin man arrested in connection of stolen cattle in Howell County

A Wisconsin man has been arrested in connection to a Missouri cattle theft. Twenty-seven-year-old Jordan Leisgang of Seymour, Wi., is facing charges of theft by receiving of stolen property.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control, a Howell County resident reportedly helped facilitate the purchase and transportation of 450 head of cattle, from a Salem sale barn for Leisgang in August 2023. The victim said Leisgang refused to issue payment for the cattle and ended communication after the livestock arrived in Wisconsin.

On July 17, a Howell County Grand Jury indicted Leisgang and Wisconsin authorities arrested him on July 25. He is currently awaiting extradition to Missouri, where he has a $100,000 bond.
