State Attorney General Tim Griffin announced Tuesday that he and State Attorneys General from 19 other states have filed an amicus brief supporting a Tennessee-led coalition lawsuit against the Biden-Harrison administration’s Title IX rule.

Jonathon Skrmetti, Attorney General of Tennessee received a preliminary injunction last June targeted against the Biden-Harris Title IX rule implementation for his states. Other states receiving the preliminary injuction include preliminary Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The brief asked the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to hold a preliminary injunction issued by a federal judge in June that blocked the Title IX rule from taking effect in Tennessee.

In July, a federal judge with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri issued a preliminary injunction barring the Biden-Harris Administration from enforcing the Title IX rule in Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
