Harrison man succumbs to injuries after semi gets in 3-vehicle accident

A Harrison man has succumbed to his injuries after his semi truck was one of three vehicles involved in an accident in Carroll County during the early morning of Aug. 27. Fifty-five-year-old Eric Rogers was pronounced dead at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

According to the Arkansas State Police, a vehicle was attempting to pass Rogers’ truck in a no-passing zone on U.S. Highway 412. The vehicle reportedly struck another semi truck traveling in the opposite direction and then struck Rogers’ truck, causing it to leave the roadway and overturn. The unidentified drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured.

The road was dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the 4:18 a.m. accident.
