Man wanted for stabbing teen in southwest Missouri arrested in New York

A man wanted for stabbing an Oklahoma teenager in southwest Missouri has been located in New York. According to KYTV/KSPR, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office states 47-year-old David Bostic of Bellevue, Wash., was arrested Thursday in Queens and will soon be extradited to Missouri.

Sheriff Randee Kaiser originally reported deputies responded Jan. 11 to a report of an assault at the bus station in Duenweg. Upon arrival, deputies located the male teen with severe injuries to his neck. The victim was transported to a hospital and released six days later.

Bostic was identified as the suspect to the incident in July. He reportedly has a history of violence and ties to Missouri, Arkansas, Utah, Washington and New York.

Bostic will be facing a charge of first-degree assault.
