Big Creek announces winners of ASGA-Designated Stroke Play Championships

Big Creek Golf and Country Club held its Arkansas State Golf Association-Designated Stroke Play Championship Event on Saturday and Sunday.

Matthew Johnson was crowned the winner of the amateur division after a two-day total of six-under-par 138. Tyler Reynolds finished second at 10 strokes, and Carson Garner was third with a 150.

Josh Kemp won the mid-amateur division after he shot a 173 over two rounds. Rich Gregg ended up four strokes back to come in second place, and Eldon Petty took third with a 184.

Kurt Reither captured the senior division of the tournament. Reither’s two-day total was 151.

Bubba Klugh won the super senior division with a two-under-par 142. David Branstetter won the tiebreaker for second place over Bob Baker after both were four strokes off the lead.

Bev Hargraves finished at the top of the legends division with a six-under-par 138. Stan Stockton was second at 15 strokes back, and Alan Humphries ended up third with a 161.
