A Mountain Home woman has been arrested for striking a developmentally disabled young child. Facing a felony charge of domestic battering in the second degree for the incident is 30-year-old Heidi Elizabeth Cobler.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, an investigator with the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) sent two videos to an investigator with the sheriffs office. One video shows Cobler striking the three-year-old boy in the head with her hand. The second video shows Cobler spanking him for crying after she had struck him.
The DCFS investigator says the boy can only use about three words.
Cobler is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
