Pedestrian injured after vehicle struck him crossing U.S. Hwy. 62 Wednesday night

A Mountain Home man was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night as he was attempting to cross U.S. Highway 62 East near the Midtown Harps.
According to the incident report from the Mountain Home Police Department, at approximately 7:44 Wednesday night, 20-year-old Justin Martin of Gassville was traveling eastbound on U.S. Hwy 62 East near the Midtown Harps when he came into contact with a pedestrian, identified at 53-year-old Carl Sandin of Mountain Home. Martin told law enforcement he did not see Sandin cross the street until it was too late. He stated he attempted to stop, but could not in time.
Sandin was transported to Baxter Health with a suspected injury to his right leg.
