High school football makes up much of the local Friday schedule, and Mountain Home will be among the teams wrapping up non-conference play. The Bombers have their second matchup against an opponent from Missouri as they welcome Rolla to the Twin Lakes Area.
Mountain Home is currently 2-0 on the season and ranked fifth in Class 6A by the Arkansas Sports Media. The Bombers’ last game was two weeks ago when they picked up a 16-point win at Harrison. Rolla brings a 2-1 record into the game. The Bulldogs are coming off their home opener on Saturday when they defeated Kelly.
Rolla is in their second season under the direction of Derick Heflin, and Mountain Home head coach Steve Ary says the Bulldogs are much improved compared to a year ago.

Yellville-Summit will be on the home field for the first time this season. The Panthers will also play their non-conference finale as they meet Berryville.
Yellville-Summit currently has a mark of 1-1. The Panthers suffered a six-point defeat last week at Hector. Berryville is looking for its first win of the season. The Bobcats are 0-2 after falling a week ago to Greenland.
Chaseton McCarthy will be on the sideline at Panther Field for the first time as Yellville-Summit’s head coach. He says he’s hopeful his team has a good showing not just for the home crowd, but also for momentum going into the 3A-2 next week.
