Mountain Home’s junior high football teams had a victorious evening on the road sweeping Elkins.
The 7th grade Bomber team defeated Elkins with a score of 14-0. Opening the scoring was a 63 yard sweep by Hudson Speer. A series later Asa Smeltzer read a power read option with a 70 yard sprint straight down the middle of the field. Smeltzer connected with Bryant Edens for the play action 2pt conversion.
The 8th grade team kept up the momentum for the evening beating Elkins with a final score of 23-16.
Action continues Monday for the junior high Bombers as they will be on the road to Batesville.
