Starting Tuesday, Marion County residents whose primary residence was damaged or destroyed during the May 2024 tornadoes will be able to submit applications for the Arkansas Disaster Relief Program.

According to Marion County Judge Jason Stumph, Marion County is able to provide limited funding for the immediate needs of individuals or families experiencing significant impacts from the May 2024 tornadoes. The funding has been made available through the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management from private donations made through the Arkansas Disaster Relief Program. Applications can be picked up from the Marion County Judge’s Office in the Court Complex or online at marioncounty.arkansas.gov/#Notices.

Applications will be accepted now through November 15 or until funds run out, and the amount of funding available will be based on the number of applications received. Assistance will be available to qualified homeowners and renters whose primary residence was damaged or destroyed in the declared designated area. This limited assistance is intended only to partially alleviate a loss.

Completed applications can be dropped off in person, emailed to countyjudge@marioncountyar.gov, or mailed to ATTN: County Judge’s Office, Marion County, P.O. Box 545, Yellville, AR 72687.
