The popular stein hoisting competition will return to Arktoberfest this year
Rapp’s Barren Brewing Company will host the 3rd Annual Arktoberfest on the Mountain Home square this Saturday. The event will kick off at 2 and offer visitors a chance to taste beers from 13 breweries from Arkansas and Southern Missouri and food trucks. There will be games and events for kids, including bouncy houses and a live polka band from Springfield.
Russell Tucker from Rapp’s Barren Brewing Company says he expects this to be the biggest Arktoberfest yet.

Many beer-inspired games will be held throughout the day, starting with an official Beer Mile Run hosted by Pirate Perry Events.

Tickets are $40 and include all-you-can-drink beer and access to one game. VIP tickets are $60 and include, in addition to regular ticket perks, a one-hour early start for beer tasting at 1 and a food voucher to use at a vendor of choice.
Those not wishing to drink can come to the square free of charge, though donations will be accepted.
All proceeds from the event, including donations, will support the Backpack Food Program for Kids to help school children who are food insecure.
