MHHS boys’ tennis team wins 5A-East conference championship

The Mountain Home High School tennis teams recently competed in the 5A-East Conference Tournament at Batesville. It ended with the Bomber boys taking home the conference championship.

Pierce Blackmon and Finley Chafin was able to win the boys’ doubles bracket for Mountain Home. The season ended for Stratton Smith and Noah Recktenwald in the quarterfinals.

Strat Rucker and Landon Horne qualified for the state tournament in the boys’ singles division. The two Bombers faced each other in the third place match with Rucker coming out on top.

The girls’ singles bracket concluded with Mary Charles McConnell securing a state tournament berth for Mountain Home. McConnell ended up finishing fourth. Fellow Lady Bomber Bianca Talbot was eliminated in the quarterfinals.

The season ended for both of Mountain Home’s girls’ doubles teams. Kelsey Blackwell and Kiana Talbot and Hannah Baker and Bella Dotson got beat in the quarterfinals.
