The Mountain Home Parks and Recreation Trunk or Treat Walk-Thru will take place this Saturday night from 6 to 9 at Cooper Park, behind the youth center.
The event will include candy booths, a haunted trail, a costume contest, inflatables, and hot dogs while supplies last. The Donald W. Reynolds Library serving Baxter County will be present to tell ghost stories. The event is free.
Thirty-three businesses will be present to run candy booths. Organizers are still accepting businesses to participate at no cost but will need to provide candy to pass out.
Most parking will be available, but a section by the Youth Center will be blocked off for hot dog grilling.
Andrew McNair, Recreational Coordinator at Mountain Home Parks and Rec., says this is their biggest event of the year, annually getting several thousand visitors.
