The Mountain Home High School and Junior High Bomber Bands have had a busy fall season.

Most recently, the high school band finished sixth at the Branson Marching Invitational. The band placed first in colorguard, first in visual and second in prelims. The band was also eighth at the Pride of the Ozarks Marching Invitational at their first competition of the season.

The high school band’s remaining competitions include the Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association (ASBOA) Region VI Marching Assessment on Oct. 22, the Paragould McDonald’s Marching Invitational on Oct. 26 and the ASBOA Class 6A State Marching Contest at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock on Nov. 6.

The Junior High Bomber Band also had a successful outing last month. They placed first in the Hootin an Hollerin Parade in Gainesville.

Both bands also have events scheduled at Bomber Stadium. They’ll be featured at the annual band marching exhibition Nov. 7 at 6:30. The high school band will also present its “lights out” performance on Oct. 29 beginning at 6:30. Both events are free and the public is invited to attend.
